Job Title: Commodity Manager – Purchase
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commodity Manager to lead our purchase team. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for mechanical commodities
– Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize purchasing opportunities
– Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
– Analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to optimize purchasing decisions
– Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to ensure alignment
– Manage supplier relationships and performance
– Utilize SMS to track metrics, manage risk, and ensure compliance
– Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports
– Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
Requirements:
– BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
– Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or related field
– Exposure to SMS and experience in managing suppliers
– Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
